Not Getting Enough Attention

I guess old Lurch is getting hungry for attention, because he’s out making stupid statements to the press again. This one goes to the top of an ever-growing list of dunderheaded statements courtesy of our friend from the People’s Republic of Massachusetts. In his February 6 appearance on MSNBC, Kerry had this to say of the recent tornadoes that have cost at least 50 lives throughout the Southeast:

“And insurance companies are beginning to look at this issue and understand this is related to the intensity of storms that is related to the warming of the earth.”

That’s right, folks. Global Warming Hoax is now responsible for tornadoes in Tornado Alley. Herman Munster blunders on:

“The fact is the hurricanes are more intensive, the storms are more intensive and the rainfall is more intense at certain places at certain times and the weather patterns have changed.”

At certain places at certain times? Sometimes I really wonder if he actually believes some of the trash that he says. Well, although he prefaced his ridiculous assertion with “the fact is”, why don’t we get our “facts” from someone other than a lifelong politician, eh? Care of Roger Edwards, a meteorologist at the Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Center:

“As of this writing, no scientific studies solidly relate climatic global temperature trends to tornadoes. I don’t expect any such results in the near future either, because tornadoes are too small, short–lived, hard to measure and count, and too dependent on day to day, even minute to minute weather conditions.”

In other words, the fact is that Kerry is willing to pimp out any natural disaster to further the myth of man-made Global Warming Hoax. While he might claim to have the facts, a cursory glance at the hurricanes he mentioned shows that the 2007 and 2005 hurricane seasons greatly resemble the 1960 and 1961 seasons. The record high number of major hurricanes is eight, which happened in 1950. That is based on documented and actual facts. So, is it more likely that we are (a) in a cycle which is totally natural or (b) the boogeyman is coming and his name is Global Warming?

Once again, we see liberal politicians deliberately using natural disaster to further their political goals. I find it truly repugnant.
