Got A Problem?
Is the weather too hot? Perhaps it’s too cold? Got penguins at the North Pole? Dead bear? Weeds in your yard? How about cloudy days? Too much rain? Not enough rain? Feeling down? Do your undershorts ride up on you? Have that not-so-fresh feeling? Power outage? Unsightly blemishes? Dry, frizzy hair? Genocide in Darfur? Republicans in the White House? Peanut butter in your chocolate? Well, folks: these and any other problems you might have can all be attributed to … you guessed it:
Global Warming Hoax
Algore, Friend to the Earth, came out of his energy-sucking home to declare on NPR that the cyclone which recently devastated Myanmar (Burma) was a result of … you guessed it:
Global Warming Hoax
Courtesy of the eee-vil Fox News:
“Former Vice President Al Gore says global warming (hoax) is to blame for the Myanmar cyclone. In an interview with National Public Radio, Gore called the storm one of the ‘consequences that scientists have long predicted might be associated with global warming.’
“But many experts say it is impossible to make such a link. Willie Soon of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics tells FOX News: ‘It is an alarmist statement and Vice President Gore wants to confuse the crowd’ adding ‘there is no way to blame any single event on CO2 and global warming.’”
While Algore no longer has the scientific community running for their lives should they dare suggest he’s a barking moonbat on the subject, certain liberal media outlets are more than happy to assist him in the propagation of the ludicrous notion of Global Warming Hoax. Jeff Poor of the Business and Media Institute was more diplomatic than I would have been:
“(U)sing tragedy to advance an agenda has been a strategy for many global warming activists.”
I would also add that using tragedy to advance an agenda is sick and disgusting behavior. However, this is nothing new as we all know very well. The typical liberal response to tragedy is to blame something or someone that they already have an agenda against. A short stroll down amnesia lane helps us remember:
2004: In the wake of the tsunami devastation, liberalites declared President Bush to be “stingy” in his initial assistance commitment as well as “uncompassionate” because it took two days for him to make public statements regarding the devastation. While most folks remember that, very few remember that then-Secretary General Kofi Annan was on a skiing trip and did not immediately return. In fact, it took him four days to respond to the disaster. Previous to that, the overactive hurricane season which demolished much of Florida was, by some, blamed on Bush’s environmental policy.
2005: The people are warned well in advance of Hurricane Katrina, yet the loss of life and billions of dollars in damage were epic nonetheless. The response from liberals? German Environment Minister Jürgen Trittin had this to say:
“The American president is closing his eyes to the economic and human costs his land and the world economy are suffering under natural catastrophes like Katrina and because of neglected environmental policies.”
Yep – Bush’s fault. Other barking moonbats suggested that (of course) it wouldn’t have been as bad if we weren’t fighting a war in Iraq. In the largest show of idiocy, rap artist Kanye West ditched his script for the live broadcast to raise money for Katrina victims and proclaimed that, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people”.
2006: A mine in West Virginia collapses. As you might guess, it’s Bush’s fault because his administration “relaxed the safety rules”. This is also the year that Algore’s kitschy little movie came out, thereby thrusting Global Warming Hoax into the mainstream. Once this happened, natural disasters could now all be attributed to this irrefutable science from the former Vice President. Of course, since Bush refused to sign Kyoto, Global Warming Hoax and all associated disasters were de facto his fault. It is worthy of note that during the Clinton administration, the Senate unanimously voted (democrats and Republicans) that the United States should not be signatory to Kyoto - Byrd-Hagel Resolution (S. Res. 98). People who wag their finger at Bush over Kyoto conveniently forget that.
2007: Now that Global Warming Hoax has been swallowed by the media, United Nations, and the populous at large, barking moonbat Ellen Goodman of the Boston Globe pronounces all people who disagree with Algore’s notions as akin to Holocaust Deniers. David Roberts of Grist Magazine proclaimed, “we should have war crimes trials for these bastards (scientists who show contradictory data to Algore’s notions) -- some sort of climate Nuremberg”. Get that? All those who disagree are like Nazi propagandists and should be put on trial for their lives.
On and on it goes. So, Algore gives us our latest example of using the plight of others to advance his own agenda – an agenda that is devoid of actual science but chock-full of financial windfall via “Carbon Credits”. That Gore would take a natural disaster like this and use it as an example of his fully debunked theories is sickening.

Luckily, the folks in Estonia have found an operating solution to Global Warming Hoax: a tax on cow farts. There! Problem solved.
