I would like to apologize to those few folks that follow this site for the pause in an update. I have found myself at another impasse and am not certain how to proceed. I hope to receive some input from you.
As a preface, I want to say that I am very proud of what I have done here over the past six years. This site has reached every corner of the globe, and has received praise from some prominent people. However, much like my music career, this site is kept alive and running by love over success. I do enjoy writing the occasional screed as much as I enjoy the occasional romp with my guitar, but the obvious conclusion is that neither have any impact whatsoever on society.
This is where I hit the proverbial wall. I created a political party platform and called it the Intolerance Party. I still like it, think it is funny, and wish like hell I could continue creating content in its name. I have been trying like hell to put a campaign video together, but it all falls flat. It doesn’t work right now because our situation it too serious.
Without satire, I serve little purpose. Serious reporting and journalism is covered – I am not adding anything. So, I am considering shutting down this site and moving on. Currently, my largest draw to the site is from Google images: one of an image of the anarchy symbol and the other an image of cleavage. Seriously.
So, I would really like your input.

TB, you are being too hard on yourself, particularly when you say that you "serve little purpose".
Every blog is one more voice against the traditional "mainstream media", whether one agrees with the blog's content or not.
I think that there are times when all of us wonder if we are writing only for ourselves, but all you have to do is check your hits tally and you realize that there have to be people out there who are interested in what you have to say.
Being creative is a challenge and requires a lot of thought and sometimes a lot of research in one form or another.
In the case of the blogger, the fanning of a glowing spark is what keeps us going. Much of that impetus is self-generated (although I personally give fervent thanks to a core of supporters who periodically offer commentary).
I would very much like to see you continue because you have a special point of view to offer.
